With its collective vision of creating a better and more sustainable tomorrow by creating businesses out of it, we ignite each individual's hidden entrepreneurial knack. Our flagship initiative, Project Gulsair, is an ingenious solution to the growing issue of floral waste in India. It is a noble endeavour to rescue this floral bounty from its watery demise, transforming it into the foundation of sustainable marvels, granting them renewed purpose as captivating embellishments, their significance revitalised. Through Project Gulsair, we are turning floral waste into sustainable treasures, crafting aromatic candles, bath salts, soaps, stylish apparel (like scarves), bags, exquisite jewellery and practical stationery (including bookmarks and journals). ENACTUS MSI pledges to transform these forsaken blooms into the foundation of sustainable marvels, granting them renewed purpose as captivating embellishments, their significance revitalised. Since ENACTUS works around the different SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals) as set by the UN, Project Gulsair also incorporates the following SGDs into its business domain: SDG 12. Life Below Water Enactus MSI has spearheaded a series of impactful initiatives. We partnered with SARD NGO to instil cleanliness and responsible water usage values among elementary students. The program included engaging activities like teamwork challenges and a 'nukkad natak' street play, emphasising personal responsibility and hand hygiene. Additionally, we successfully organised the "SustainX" Business Plan Competition with a sustainability theme, boasting participation from over 100 teams and judged by industry experts, marking a significant achievement as our first in-person event in three years. Furthermore, our collaboration with the Rotaract Club SSCBS led to installing e-waste bins on the MSI campus, addressing e-waste disposal issues and promoting sustainability within the academic community. Lastly, our two-day bake sale fundraiser, BAKE SALE 2.0, successfully raised funds for community projects, offering a delightful array of treats and engaging games, all supported by our dedicated student volunteers. - AICTE has made it mandatory for the institutions to register all their events through the NDLI club. NDLI Club will ensure for submitting the required details of the Institution for smooth approval from them.
- NDLI club enables the student’s societies/departments @ MSI to interested in conducting diverse range of activities/events in a user-friendly interface (required details such through a poster consisting date, time, venue, a brief description and rules etc. for registering an event @ MSI NDLI Club).
- The NDLI Club promotes event visibility to the ministry of education.
- NDLI platform provide certificate to all the active participants by simply logging in to the NDLI club account after the completion of event. The certificate is issued by the Ministry of Education.
- National digital library of India is also very informative and convenient to use. It provides access to a vast repository of educational resources in various formats and languages.

The NCC in India was formed under the National Cadet Corps Act of 1948. It can be traced back to the “University Corps“, which was created under the Indian Defense Act 1917, with the objective to make up for the shortage in the Army. The National Cadet Corps is the youth wing of Armed Forces with its Headquarters at New Delhi, Delhi, India. National Cadet Corps is a Tri-Services Organization, comprising the Army, Navy and Air Wing, engaged in grooming the youth of the country into disciplined and patriotic citizens. NCC is the largest uniformed youth organization. Its motto is 'Unity and Discipline'. In living up to its motto, the NCC strives to be and is one of the greatest cohesive forces of the nation, bringing together the youth hailing from different parts of the country and moulding them into united, secular and disciplined citizens of the nation. Maharaja Surajmal Institute introduced National Cadet Corp (NCC) training for girls in the institute in 2022. NCC has been introduced in the institute as a means to provide an opportunity to the students for their all-round development. The motto of NCC i.e. "UNITY AND DISCIPLINE suggests the importance of being a part of a team and self-discipline which our institute wants to impart through the training. MSI aims to build attributes like character, commandership, discipline, leadership, spirit of adventure and ideals of selfless service amongst the students. NCC training is being regularly conducted twice a week. Our NCC cadets have been invited and honored by other colleges. NCC cadets have showcased their skills at d other colleges and have been honored with rewards as well. Through NCC, MSI gives the students another path to build their career in the line of defense. It gives them an insight of the life you an army man. MSI looks foward for growth in the number recruitments in the following years. Along with increasing recruits it also looks forward to diversifing NCC training to boys as well in the future.
The National Service Scheme (NSS) in India, overseen by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, is a voluntary youth program aimed at inspiring college and university students to engage in community service and social activities. NSS instills values of civic responsibility and personal development with its motto, “Not me, but you.”
At Maharaja Surajmal Institute (MSI) in Janakpuri, the NSS Cell is a student-run body dedicated to this ethos. Their vision is to empower youth to serve society and uplift marginalized communities.
